Fort Bridger State Historic Site

Fort Bridger was originally a 19th-century fur trading outpost established in 1842. The Army established a military post here in 1858 during the Utah War, until it was finally closed in 1890. Fort Bridger is now designated as Fort Bridger State Historic Site. Several original buildings remain and have been restored.

There are a number of ghosts allegedly haunting the site. In the graveyard a figure has been spotted tending the graves; the stone barracks has a ghost that seems fascinated by the photocopier! A spectral hound also walks the area.
